The Pro Range system by Fireco includes wireless (radio controlled) versions of the widely popular and successful Freedor free-swing closer and Dorgard door retainer. It is a Category A (Critical) actuation system so can be installed on doors throughout the building including stairwells.
Central to the system is the ProHub controller and transmitter. Directly connected to the fire alarm panel, ProHub offers the highest level of compliance and provides access via simple internet connection to the subscription based services DMS – a mass notification system and InSite remote management software.
The Pro Range is subject to an initial wireless site survey and requires professional installation and commissioning by an experienced engineer. Fire Door Controls is an approved installer for the Pro Range and able to provide this service in full.
Freedor Pro – A Free-swing overhead door closer which makes opening and closing a fire door effortless. Operated by a 9v battery pack, Freedor Pro will allow the door to be left in any position but close in the event of the fire alarm activating. Includes a comprehensive 2 year warranty and extended battery life up to 3 years. Suitable for door sizes up to EN3 (<60kg/<950mm),
Dorgard Pro – Fitted to the bottom of the door, these devices are supplied with a floor plate to prevent damage to the floor and foot of the unit. Operated by 2 x standard C cell batteries, Dorgard Pro will reliably hold the door open in a fixed position and release in the event of the fire alarm activating. Includes comprehensive 2 year warranty and extended battery life up to 3 years. Suitable for all door sizes up to EN5.

Fire Door Controls offers annual inspection and ad-hoc maintenance on all makes and models of hard-wired and wire-free door closers and holders.
As with all other fire safety equipment and procedures, regular inspection and service where necessary is recommended annually. This not only ensures compliance with relevant standards but also certifies everything operates correctly in the event of an actual fire incident.
