Hard-wired Installs

All our installations are carried out to the highest specification. We use specialist cable in accordance with the relevant standards and manufacturer’s instructions.

With our vast experience of cabling installations, we have refined our methods to be as efficient and undisruptive as possible. All wiring is concealed above ceilings or within wall cavities where possible. Where this is not possible, we use discreet, low profile mini-trunking where necessary.

The experience and methods that we employ translate into speedy and high quality installations, which in turn, reduce costs. With the cost and time taken to complete installations often being less than expected, we are invariably the best value for money.

To provide the most seamless experience possible, Fire Door Controls takes responsibility for any third party associated works required for the fulfilment of a project. Although this is not often required, we manage all liaison with electrical contractors, fire alarm maintainers and site managers where necessary.

As part of our service, we keep the need for any making good to a minimum. We apply suitable fire stop protection wherever penetrations of fire resisting walls, floors or ceilings are made.

Wire-free Installs

Although most acoustic fire door closers and holders are designed for DIY installation, they can be problematic and sometimes require an experienced installer to complete the process. There is also sometimes a requirement for a third party annual service and inspection. We can provide both.

When it comes to wireless (radio controlled) installations, it is essential to use an approved installer. Fire Door Controls holds this status with both of the UK’s main manufacturers of these systems.

First, a wireless system needs to be identified as a suitable solution and estimated costs approved in principle. Then it is necessary to conduct a site survey in order to finalise the specification and costs of the installation.

As with our hard-wired installation service, we take responsibility for the co-ordination and management of any associated works required by third parties such as electrical contractors and fire alarm maintainers.

Warranties and Guarantees

All installations are guaranteed for a statutory minimum 12 months with product warranties specific to individual manufacturers. Our work is fully insured and risk assessments are conducted on all projects prior to commencement. Works are completed to the relevant standards by trained and experienced engineers following appropriate method statements and adhering to any site-specific requirements.
