Designed specifically for use in residential care settings, the Freeway Anti-Slam boasts a unique Assisted Reset feature that enables maximum independence for elderley and disabled people living in properties where fire door closers are required to comply with fire safety regulations.
Unlike ALL other available Swing Free products which require the door to be opened in a single movement past at least 75 degrees (something that most people who require Swing Free in the first place struggle with) the Freeway Assisted Reset feature allows the door to be reset with ease after activation, which is usually a weekly alarm test.
The Assisted Reset feature enables the door to be opened in increments of as little as 15 degrees so frail or disabled users can adjust position and/or regain their strength and stability before increasing the opening angle. This removes the need for resetting to be done by carers, site managers or neighbours.
The Freeway also features adjustable Anti-Slam and Anti-Drift as well as Fixed Closing Speed.

Fire Door Controls offers annual inspection and ad-hoc maintenance on all makes and models of hard-wired and wire-free door closers and holders.
As with all other fire safety equipment and procedures, regular inspection and service where necessary is recommended annually. This not only ensures compliance with relevant standards but also certifies everything operates correctly in the event of an actual fire incident.
